If you are looking for help to cope with your own, or another person’s, alcohol use, then please contact one of our member agencies locally – they should able to help.
The Scottish Alcohol Counselling Consortium is a small, member-led organisation of councils on alcohol and local, voluntary alcohol and addiction support agencies. Our member organisations all provide alcohol counselling or one to one support as part of their services.
Our aim is to make a meaningful contribution to communities across Scotland – by improving counselling and support for individuals and families affected by alcohol and other addictions.
We provide a network of knowledge, experience and support and facilitate partnership working between member organisations and related agencies.
SACC contributes to national forums and consultations – ensuring that the views and experiences of our member organisations and the people who use their services are represented.
We aim to represent the experience, interests and views of our member organisations, and the people who use their services, whenever we can by getting involved in national consultations and forums.
Are you a local, voluntary agency providing alcohol/ addiction counselling and support? Then get in touch.
We provide a pathway of COSCA validated alcohol counselling training for volunteers and specialist, behaviour change training for staff and students on placement. We work with members to ensure high standards in recruitment, training, accreditation and provision of alcohol counselling by volunteers across Scotland.
